Entry Level - Eng. Tech (EIT)

4Creeks is seeking an Engineer-in-Training to work under the direction of a Project Engineer or Manager. Responsibilities for this position would include preparing calculations, assist with preparing technical reports, technical exhibits and construction plans. Other responsibilities include drafting topographic surveys, spreadsheet calculations, technical specification writing, site visits and documentation of site conditions for typical civil engineering projects. This position will primarily entail office work.

Surveyor (LSIT)

4-Creeks is seeking a Land Surveyor to work under the direction of the Senior Survey Manager to complete various technical and non-technical tasks. The position will involve a wide range of design and analytical responsibilities to complete private and public sector projects. Essential duties and  responsibilities will include working with your department manager and Civil Project managers to complete project surveying and mapping assignments, boundary surveys, ALTA’s, topographic surveys, final maps, records of survey ALTA’s, Construction Surveys, Easements & Legal Descriptions, coordination of submittals with agencies, along with additional tasks that will assist in your professional development.

Traffic Engineer

4Creeks is seeking a professionally licensed engineer  specializing in traffic engineering. This position will utilize your knowledge and skill in traffic engineering to support our project teams in delivery of projects through planning and design. Your responsibilities for this position would include: Traffic studies, Traffic signals, Striping/signage, Parking lot flow/layout, street design, bike lane design, traffic control, Caltrans EP  coordination, roundabout design and other duties as assigned. This position would require daily work out of our Visalia office, with occasional trips for business operations and project meetings

Civil CAD Drafter

4Creeks is seeking a Civil CAD Drafter to work under the direction of a Project Engineer working primarily on Public Works, Land Development and Structural projects. Responsibilities for this position would include:

  • Utilizes Autodesk Civil 3D to prepare a variety of construction drawings including but not limited to
    Topographic Surveys, Grading Plans, Utility Plans, Plan and Profile Sheets, Signing and Striping Plans, Street Cross Sections, Structural Roof/Floor Framing Plans, and Structural Details
  • Prepare quantity take offs for use in engineering cost estimates
  • Review civil and architectural construction documents
  • File management including plotting and scanning of plans as needed
  • Coordinate lot fit analysis process, plot plans, model complex site and grading plans with developer and local agency for building permit approval
  • Assignments regularly require the use of mathematical formulas to assist in the preparation of civil construction drawings.
  • Work from sketches, models, and verbal information supplied by an engineer or designer to determine the most efficient approach to complete construction drawings, detail drawings, and supplementary information needed to complete assignments.

This position will primarily entail office work.

Senior Planner

The Senior Planner will have a diverse land use planning skill set and the ability to manage a variety of complex projects. Under supervision of the Department Manager/Director of Planning, the Senior level Planner will be the lead coordinator on development of plans for large residential, mixed-use, and industrial areas. The planner will also lead environmental document preparation such as exemptions, Negative Declarations, and EIR’s. The Senior planner will coordinate with other departments, agencies, consultants, private developers, and citizens in the projects. We are looking for someone who provides great customer service to all of our clients and the ability to build strong relationships with those we serve.

Software Programmer

4Creeks is looking for a Software Programming Project Manager to assist in leading our team of software developers. We create software applications that empower Local and State Agencies to manage and support their administrative processes. That may sound a little boring, but this role is at the forefront of providing solutions for some very engaging and challenging problems. This position will work directly with our Software Development team to create web-based tools and processes for managing data from multiple sources, both public and private, and presenting it in a useful manner for users. This position is an opportunity to be a part of creating long-term and impactful solutions.

Current Internship Opportunities

Land Surveyor-In-Training Internship

4Creeks is seeking an Land Surveyor-In-Training intern to work under the direction of a licensed Land Surveyor.
Responsibilities for this position would include but not limited to

  • Assist Professional Land Surveyors with drafting, deed research, boundary analysis, easement and
    document preparation with legal descriptions, final plats, labeling and computing survey points, processing
    raw field data with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center and other aspects of land surveying.
  • Communicate and collaborate on project work with all project team members
  • Maintain and organize project files in the network project folder
  • Work on a field crew as needed in a crew chief capacity on survey projects to include: boundaries, ALTA’s,
    residential and commercial construction staking.

This position will entail 80% office work and 20% field work.

Summer Internship – Software/IT

4Creeks is always looking for difference makers to join our Software/IT team. Our interns get hands-on experience with
technical and non-technical tasks as well as a working under a variety of staff members. The internship will involve a wide
range of opportunities that range from assisting with developing software, coding, to helping the company with overall IT
needs. Some duties might include setting up new hire computers, fixing computer or technical issues for staff members in
our 3 office locations, assisting the software team with any needs during software buildout, etc. During this internship you
will gain experience in things such as:

  • IT Support
  • C#, .NET Framework and .NET Core
  • MSSQL & Entity Framework
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Software management and installations
