Current Internship Opportunities

Geomatics Intern (Visalia)

4Creeks is seeking an Geomatics Intern to work under the direction of a licensed Land Surveyor. Responsibilities for this position would include but not limited to:

  • Assist Professional Land Surveyors with drafting, deed research, boundary analysis, easement and document preparation with legal descriptions, final plats, labeling and computing survey points, processing raw field data with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center and other aspects of land surveying.
  • Communicate and collaborate on project work with all project team members
  • Maintain and organize project files. Performing research at a supervisor’s request
  • Work as part of a field crew as needed on survey projects to include: boundaries, ALTA’s, residential and commercial construction staking.

This position will entail approximately 70% office work and 30% field work.

Planning Department Intern (SLO)

4Creeks is seeking an Intern for the Planning department to work under the direction of a Project Planner to complete various technical and non-technical tasks. The internship will involve a wide range of design and analytical opportunities to assist in completing private and public-sector projects. Some of which would be to assist in conceptual land development designs, master plan documents, research and data collection, land use application processing, environmental compliance, and report preparation.

This internship would provide opportunity to grow and learn in the planning department doing tasks within the following areas:

  • Conduct research and analysis of city and county municipal codes and required planning documents for project implementation.
  • Prepare master/specific plans, Conceptual design, environmental documents, and other required planning documents for various projects. Use of ACAD, Photoshop, Sketchup, InDesign are programs to be used to create the required designs.
  • Create maps, analysis and implementation, web-based systems utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
  • Prepare required documents, plans, ordinances as required by various Contract City Planning agreements.
  • Provide required graphic design details/documents for various projects.
IT Intern

4Creeks is looking for someone to assist our IT Administrator with technical support for our staff. This position is part-time up to 20 hours per week. Some duties may include setting up computers for new hires, tracking IT assets, and fixing computer or technical issues for staff members in our 4 office locations: Visalia, Hanford, Fresno, and San Luis Obispo.
This position will be exposed to duties such as:

  • Assisting in Asset Tracking
  • Managing Active Directory and setting up users on company network
  • Preparing Documentation on IT processes and practices
  • Software management and installations
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues

4Creeks is seeking someone who loves helping people with their IT related concerns. The ideal candidate will greatly enjoy helping staff when they run into computer-related problems and will also provide excellent customer service. This position will involve duties such as:

  • Assist in asset tracking
  • Resolving IT Tickets or escalating them to the IT Administrator if additional assistance is needed
  • Setting up computers for staff members
  • Setting up staff cell phones
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues
